Hand-crafted Fur-Trade-Era Silver

Some of My Work

Welcome To My Hobby

This site is dedicated to Trade Silver — the metallic ornaments exchanged for furs with the Native peoples of what is now North America.

In my workshop, I continue this tradition using 18th‑century methods to craft every piece entirely by hand. No power tools, just the same techniques used centuries ago.

Please remember that this is a hobby. Some orders can be shipped the same day, while others may take several weeks depending on what I have in stock and what life throws my way.

For order inquiries, please use the Contact section below. To learn more about my process and the history behind these pieces, visit the About and Research pages.

I usually respond within a day.     If I don't, then I must be camping, or hunting, or kayaking, or just plain taking a short break from the onslaught of technology.

I focus on the history of the Fur Trade and the broader Fur Trade Era, including trade silver, silver ornaments, the material culture of 18th‑century North America and colonial silversmiths. My work connects to Native American and American Indian history, living history interpretation, and the traditions seen at modern rendezvous events.
